    NC Teaching Fellows

    North Carolina Teaching Fellows is a competitive, merit-based, forgivable loan program that provides up to $4,125 a semester ($8,250 a year) for up to four years to highly-qualified students committed to teaching special education or a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) field in a North Carolina public school.

    The purpose of the program is to recruit, prepare, and support students residing in or attending institutions of higher education located in North Carolina to become highly effective STEM or special education teachers in the State’s public schools.
